insensiv has a long tradition in customer-specific developments for the agricultural industry. For example, image processing systems for the quality inspection of eggs in farms around the world. Sensor solutions for measuring spreading distances were awarded with a gold medal for innovation at the world’s leading trade fair for agriculture (Agritechnica, Hanover). Our latest approach: The PodCopter as a cable-tethered drone that can be used as a sensor carrier platform which provides real-time data for use in farming. For example, as wild animal detection, plant analysis, overloading and damage detection assistance.

EggCam
The EggCam is a camera system that counts and measures eggs that are transported on a conveyor belt in the henhouse through the camera’s field of view. It can thus be used for process optimisation and automation in big farms. The counting results, the volume of the eggs, the weight distribution, as well as the average egg contamination, are sent to a connected computer via network. The data allow conclusions to be drawn about the yield capacity of the animals, about animal health, e.g. due to strong contamination of the eggs, as well as about possible changes in poultry raising.
